Do you believe in luck? (TheWhiteHorse) | |
Isn’t it amazing how many believe you are either lucky or not. Sharonmcl loves the belief in the luck of the Irish, in leprechauns and fairies. However, What if, it is not good nor bad, luck or no luck, but just is. What if, there is a bigger story, a bigger picture, underneath any moment. The parable sharonmcl loves to tell is the story of the white station or horse😁. Sharonmcl has seen and heard this story told in the themes of Chinese or Native American. Allow the story to be told in the form that is right for you. It is the message that is significant. The basis of the theme is “do not judge, you don’t know the whole story; it is not good or bad, it just is”. “That’s interesting!” Sharonmcl’s version: Along time ago, in a land that was still evolving, lived an old man. He had a property on the outskirts of a small town, and worked with horses. One day when he working with his horses, they all bolted. The town’s people said “how unlucky this old man was, he had lost his horse, and possibly his livelihood”. The old man just shrugged his shoulders and went about his other business on the property. The next day, all the horses came back and brought with them more wild horses and a beautiful white stallion. And the town’s people said “how lucky this old man was, he now had more horses, and possibly he would be rich.” The old man just shrugged his shoulders and went about his business on the property. The next day, the old man was breaking in the wild station with his eldest son, and the eldest son fell from the stallion and broke his leg. And the town’s people said “how unlucky this old man was, he now had his eldest son unable to help him, and that horse must be bad luck.” The old man just shrugged his shoulders and went about his business on the property. The next day, the town went to war and all the eldest son’s were call up to enlist. And the town’s people said “how lucky this old man was, that his eldest son had broken his leg, for now he won’t have to enlist, that stallion was obviously good luck”. The old man just shrugged his shoulders and went about his business on the property. So the story goes on with the town’s people believe one day, its all good luck and the next it was bad luck. As the eldest son healed he asked his old man “I have noticed that when something happens, you just shrug your shoulders, when the town’s people said it’s bad or good luck”. The old man smiled and said “That is because I know, it is not good, nor bad, it just is. We just don’t know the whole story yet.” So remember, “It is not good, nor bad, it just is.” Another one of Sharonmcl’s favourite sayings comes from the movie “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” – “Everything will be all right in the end… if it’s not all right then it’s not yet the end.” If you need assistance to access what thoughts are working for you, and what thoughts you are ready to release, just ask for a session, class, workshop or retreat.
