Hobby v Purpose | |
If a person asks you what is your hobby??? Generally, they are asking what you do for leisure, and to relax. A hobby is also classed as something that isn’t a profession, so does not make money. For taxation purposes to be a business there are certain financial figures that need to be met. If a person asks you what is your purpose? Generally, they are asking what is the thing that gets you up each day. Often a persons purpose is bigger than the individual. Purpose can be for life, higher, divine, cosmic or in 2022 galactic. Purpose can be a part of your profession, whether you are paid or not. You can change jobs but your purpose can remain the same. If your purpose is for the highest good and intent, you will be supported in some way shape or form. Some suggest we go through layers that may start as a job, career and complete with life purpose. Your “purpose” you will be passionate about, deep within you. If you are aware you will see, hear, feel and know, that your purpose maybe bigger, as it’s a life mission. Purpose will be connected to your values, and principles. Hobbies come and go, and may not necessarily be connected to your purpose or values, however the hobby or job/career will feel wrong, if not in alignment. What you do, will need to be congruent with your mind, body and soul. What are your values and principles? Values are like beliefs and subjective guidelines to all that you do. Principles are more objective, and bigger picture. For example: One of my highest values is HEALTH. One of my guiding principles is ALWAYS THE HIGHEST GOOD & INTENT in all that I am and do. Each individual’s mission, purpose, value and principles will be unique. Relationships & Groups will have common threads, otherwise again incongruence will be felt. | |
