PTSD = Post-traumatic stress disorder | |
Trauma can be a major event. The post-tramatic stress can be a recent event or something that happened years ago, directly or indirectly. If you have been exposed to a major event in any way, it can create stress. Remember, stress is a process, an imbalance between demands and resources. People react differently to major events. Some people find shock, terror, denial, or numbness can be the reaction. Age, pre-warning, damage, death, degree of responsibility or ability to prevent, all have an influence. On an energetic level, a traumatic event can affect the layers of your auric field, and impact on the energy centres in the line of fire. It is quiet common for anyone that has experienced a major event to have their first chakra effected, post event. Why? This chakra is about your connection, your tribe, your family, and often in a traumatic event at least one or more chakras will be effected. Sharon was hit by a car at the age of 16, and discovered that even after the physical wounds had healed through predominantly traditional medical methods, she needed healing on an emotional, mental and spiritual level too. She experienced reliving the trauma, over and over in a dreamlike sequence. It occurred through many different triggers, such as a vehicle travelling towards her, someone touching her in the area that was wounded, etc. Sharon began to realise it was an opportunity to realign and heal. She discovered energy work, meditation and Yoga with the chakras and energy lines was the way to release the trauma and heal. Finding your way to manage, overcome, handle and/or clear your stress symptoms, can be challenging. It is unique to each person, and often healing occurs in layers. It will depend how many layers you have that need healing, the root cause and/or key point. May you find your way with ease and grace. Know when to ask for assistance, and when you can find your way.
